My name is Lynn Beeson. I am teaching the PreK through third grade vocal music classes at Greenfield Elementary this year and the Junior High and High School Choir. I graduated high school from Princeton, Missouri. I attended college at Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri where I have earned the degrees of Bachelor of Music Education (vocal and instrumental (K-12) and Masters of Arts in Guidance and Counseling (K-12). I also hold a Library Certification (K-12). I have taught music at Grundy R-V in Galt and Humphreys, Missouri and was the Band Director at Princeton, Missouri for six years. I started teaching at Greenfield, Missouri in 1989, where I have taught elementary music, elementary guidance, high school vocal, high school instrumental, elementary library, and high school library. I retired in 2013 after teaching 24 years at Greenfield. The next three years I have substitute taught for the Greenfield School System. I have been asked to return to teach vocal music at Greenfield for the last three years. I am looking forward to a wonderful school year.
I have been married for thirty-seven years to Alan Beeson. We moved to south Missouri for his job with the Department of Conservation in 1988. He worked at Chesapeake Fish Hatchery until he retired. We have two children. Bailey is a recent graduate of the University of Missouri in Columbia where she earned a degree in Respiratory Therapy and is currently employed by the University of Missouri Hospital. She is newly married to our son-in-law Brandon Smith. Roy is currently a sophomore at the University of Missouri in Columbia where he sings in the Mizzou Chorale and is enjoying to college life.
We are active members of the Greenfield First Christian Church where I play the piano and direct the choir. I love spending time with my family and scrap booking memories. We enjoy attending our Wildcat sporting events and the attending Mizzou Football Games.
